Let me just say, there are some fantastic artists in Kansas City, and around the world.
The problem is, you’re doing yourself more harm than good by searching for the best photographer in Kansas City, or New York City, or wherever you live. Here’s a few reasons why:
While I won’t claim to know what your budget is, I will say that anyone who is claiming to be “the best” at anything will have a price tag to go along with it. Not to mention those people tend to have extremely long wait times to get your photos back. I don’t know about you, but I’m not about to spend hundreds of dollars to then wait 4-6 weeks for those photos. I think it’s absurd personally.
Anyone can claim to be the “best photographer in Kansas City” but it doesn’t mean a thing if your attitude is piss poor. Work with people you would trust with your dignity and public image. Don’t work with someone who is only in it to benefit themselves and their egos. There’s plenty of talented photographers in the world, and having someone who thinks they’re entitled to claim that they’re the “best” isn’t needed, honestly.
3. It doesn’t exist!
I know, I know… I may have just crushed your heart! There’s no such thing as the ‘best photographer’. I work extremely hard to provide the quality of work that I do, and I do think my word is damn good, but there’s always going to be someone who likes someone else’s style. I would recommend if you’re client looking to find a photographer in Kansas City (or whatever city you’re in), to figure out what kind of work you really like and hire them based upon their work. Not their price, not their claim to fame or awards, but on their work. You’ll be much happier in the end.
